London-based Liquid Icons surveyed nearly 450 leading fine wine professionals in 55 countries worldwide as part of this year’s Gerard Basset Global Fine Wine Report to determine the winner of the prestigious award. The winner was announced at the inaugural Golden Vines Awards Ceremony on October 7th, 2021 in London at Annabel’s. The award was received by Ridge Vineyards’ President, David Amadia.

“The 2021 vintage marks our 60th vintage at Ridge. At Monte Bello, we recognized early on we had a vineyard capable of producing world-class wines. For Paul Draper, it was not enough to sell our wines locally. He believed that the quality of our wines was as good or better than the top wines from Bordeaux and other long established fine wine regions. He wanted our wines to compete with the top wines of the world in the top wine markets of the world: London, Paris, Hong Kong, and beyond. Today top restaurants and wine shops in 50 nations feature Ridge.”
